County Clerk's Shows 51.7% Increase In Collections in March

Carthage- Total collections in the office of county clerk and recorder were $52,252.69 for the month of March, according to Hancock County Clerk and Recorder, Kerry Asbridge. Asbridge said, the collections for March, 2004 increased by 51.7% over March, 2003. He reports fees as:

$30,932.94...in "fees of others";

$6,878.50.....for recording documents;

$3,018.00.....for record preservation;

$8,408.25.....in real estate transfer taxes;

$1,004.00..for geographic information system fees;

$364.00....for vital record storage; and

$1,647.00.for miscellaneous collections.
