The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.
By Scott Dillard, Head Coach
The Rebels took the road on Saturday for the first time this season. The outcome was not as bad as the final score indicates.
They fell behind early and gave up 20 points in the first quarter. I was proud of the men even though we were down, and we didn't quit.
We made a game out of it with the halftime score being 20-14.
At half-time we talked about how we were right in this game and they would be kicking off to us.
All sounded and looked good until the wheels fell off the wagon. Three downs and punt, bad snap and their ball inside the 10 yard line. The rest is history.
Many people think you can look at a team's record and tell how good they are - WRONG.
This team was 0-3 going into the game. In my opinion, we're better than Orion even though the final score was 56-26.
The next game (Varsity only) is with Springfield Ursuline in Springfield. Kickoff is at 2:00 p.m.
