The Dallas City Council met August 27 with Mayor Lila Gittings and commissioners Phillip Bowman and Esther Newberry present. Harold Northup was absent. Others attending the meeting were Steve Vorhies.
The group discussed public Act 93-0523 (Senate Bill 1586) which has been passed and will become effective January 1, 2004. All executive meetings will have to be tape recorded. Will discuss purchasing tape recorder at next meeting.
Candy Day by Dallas City Lions Club on September 4, 5, and 6 at the 4-way stop was approved.
