Doris Cameron was born in Memphis, Tennessee. The family moved to Clinton, Iowa where she attended school.
At age 15 she married her husband, the late Bruce Solon Cameron.
Four children were born to them - James, John, Rhonda and Norman. Moving to La Harpe, the children were raised in La Harpe and attended La Harpe schools. She has 7 grandchildren.
Doris worked at La Harpe Davier Health Care Center for 21 years as a cook.
Since retiring, she enjoys reading, traveling and country music. She loves La Harpe!
