Michael Carson was born in Macomb in 1953. He has been a life long resident of Colchester. Michael graduated from Colchester High School in 1971 and Western Illinois University in 1976 with a major in Industrial Education and a minor in Law Enforcement.
Michael worked as a deputy sheriff for 28 years for the McDonough County sheriff's department. He retired from full-time service on September 30, 2003. He taught night classes part-time for 12 years at Carl Sandburg College in Law Enforcement.
Michael has been married to his wife Pamela almost 31 years. They have a daughter Brandi Jo age 27 and a son Michael age 23.
Michael enjoys Corvettes, golf, guns and shooting sports, traveling and wood working.
