Stephanie Mencel was born January 20, 1972. She graduated from Colchester Senior High in 1990 and Western Illinois University in December of 1997.
She is married to Matt Mencel and they have two children, Rachel, who is 8 years old, and William, who is 2 years old.
She is currently band director at La Harpe for grades 5-12. In the past, she taught choir and general music for grades K-12 at Northwestern and Central School Districts. She has lived in Blandinsville for the past four years.
Stephanie enjoys singing with the Praise and Worship Band at Argyle Bible Church and with the McDonough Choral Society. She also likes to sew and cook in her spare time.
