Well once again the "whiners" were given into.
I was in the Peoria Journal Star website and read Phil Luciano's Sept. 18th article which read that the father of the boy who carries the flag at our home games said he would no longer be using the confederate flag but would have one that says "Southern."
I think it's a shame the young boy was taught to give in to stupidity rather than to have a back bone."
Chock another one up to the liberals and their press.

Dear Editor,
It surprises me yet, at this late date, of the non appreciation of the Rev. John and Marilyn Grimes, who out of their goodness struggled and kept Olena Church open for so many years.
When all other ministers get a guaranteed wage, I will always wonder why people thought they should keep that church running for nothing.
I would like a remembrance of Marilyn, now deceased, who recently would have celebrated her 73rd birthday.
