November 16, 2003, will be a date long remembered in Raritan Baptist history.
The morning worship service was highlighted by a number of historical observations including a reading of "Remember When" of past church and community events by Brandy Blender, Carlee Hanger, and Brooke Stull.
The choir performed "This Little Light of Mine." Nedra Stewart recognized several former pastors who were in attendance including Dan Vititoe, Paul Holder, Paul Smith, Donald Crowther. The Through The Years History Book was presented by Carolyn Waddell to all the pastors attending.
Vicky Keever and Ruth Olsen shared correspondence received from former pastors who were unable to attend.
A delicious lunch was shared by many who were in attendance for the day.
The 2:00 p.m. program featured former Pastor Paul Smith sharing many fond memories of church members and events in the Raritan community. The youth dramatized the Christmas eve founding of the church at the Vorhees home 145 years ago this Christmas. Special music was an important part of the afternoon service. Greetings came to RBC from various sister churches and Baptist organization around the region and association.
The special day concluded with a tea in the church fellowship hall with a time of renewing acquaintances and reminiscences of many of the fun times share by our members and friends in the community.
