Samantha McGaughey teaches Math at La Harpe High School. She was born December 20, 1977 to Robert and Edie Sullivan of Prairie City.
She grew up in Walnut Grove and graduated from Bushnell Prairie City High School in 1996. She attended Western Illinois University and graduated from there in 2001.
She taught for 6 weeks previously at La Harpe, filling in for someone on maternity leave. She then finished out the school year for Spoon River Valley High School. Last year she worked as a high school math teacher in Virginia.
Samantha and her husband Clint have lived in Blandinsville for the last five years. They have a three-year-old daughter Morgan.
Besides teaching, Samantha enjoys spending time with her daughter, family and friends. She also enjoys bicycling.
