Journey Across America

On Thursday, October 30, 2003 the fifth grade classes of Mrs. Kendall and Mrs. Jones created a "Journey Across America" presentation.

The "Journey Across America" was held in the school cafeteria and the students were responsible for a travel guide and a food product from their assigned state. The students also painted a map of their state in art class and learned the song "Fifty Nifty United States" in music.

Students were asked to bring pictures from their family vacations.

Many of the fifty states were represented in a video that was made from these pictures. Parents were invited to attend the program. The classes and their teachers appreciated all the help received from the parents and from Mrs. Stevenson and Mrs. Ferguson that went into this special day.

They also appreciated Mrs. Sholl for helping create the video of the vacation pictures. Teachers and parents were pleased with the "Journey Across America" and remarked about the "terrific job" of the students.
