Valeri Dittmer is the new speech/language pathologist at La Harpe School this year. She is currently working with grades K-8 students, but works with high school students as well. Valeri was born in Carthage and except for the 5 years she lived in Kansas City, she has spent almost all her life in the Carthage area. She graduated from Carthage High School and Western Illinois University with a bachelor and a masters degree in communication science and disorder. This is her first year teaching, but she completed an eight week internship at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Missouri and an eight week school internship at Carthage before beginning her teaching. Valeri, along with her husband Josh and daughter Taylor (10), live in Burnside. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and baking, and reading. |
