G1 Michael Blythe, Chaplain of the La Harpe American Legion Post 301awarded what he described as the highest honor awarded by that legion, and that is The Good Citizenship Award. The award went to Alfred Bruce "A.J." Huston, son of Rex and Theresa Huston, and Kelly Jo Blythe, daughter of Gary and Cheryl Blythe . Honor, Courage, Leadership, Scholarship, and Service are the five qualifications that are considered in the selection.

Mary Ann Kane, of the DAR, presented the awards for The DAR Citizenship Award. The award went to Christian Thompson, son of Robin and Donna Thompson and Marcy Wood, daughter of Richard and Donna Wood. Mrs. Kane said that students activities and attitudes are considered but the most outstanding qualifications are based on Honor, Courage, Service, Leadership, and Patriotism.
