The regular scheduled meeting of The LaHarpe City Council was called to order at 7:03 p.m. Monday evening.
Minutes were approved after noting a correction, and a motion was made to approve the Treasure's Report and pay all bills.
The Board approved a motion for Alderman Lovell to serve as pro-tem mayo.
The city police department has been notified that the grant applied for has been approved for a squad car. The grant money should be received in a matter of weeks.
The city water department reported that the water tower will be drained, refilled, and tested soon. Also, the flushing of the water drains will begin.
The board approved a $300 donation to the children's Summerfest activities.
Student alderman Christian Thompson thanked the council for the opportunity and learning experience of serving on the council. The council presented him with a plaque as a token of thanks for his service to the community.
A budget committee meeting has been scheduled for May 28 at 7:00 p.m. The board adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
