Southern finished its season with a 61-44 loss in the championship game of the Kewanee-Wethersfield tournament to Elmwood. The Southern Fresh-Soph ended the season 18-4 and 6-0 in the conference.
Southern placed 2 players on the all-tournament team, Chase Heap and Darick Clark.
To this team's credit they never lost back to back games and played hard every night, while losing at home only once.
The Sophomores that will be moving to the varsity level, Chase Heap, Mac Day, Andrew Linder, Kyle Wood, Ben Jacob and Chris Wilson posted a 39-8 record while on the Fresh-Soph team.
Those returning to the Fresh/Soph team next year will be Adam Corzatt, Kyle Keever, Darick Clark, Gerry Roark, Jerry Morris and Nick Burg.
With this group of Sophomores and Freshmen Southern basketball looks to stay strong for many years to come.
The team appreciates the their fans and parents for the tremendous support of this past season.
