The Dallas City Council held its regular meeting on Wednesday, February 26, 2003 at 7:00 p.m.
Mayor Lila Gittings called the meeting to order with the following Commissioners present: Nick Huston, Harold Northup, Jr., Esther Newberry and John Pieper.
Others attending the meeting were Chris Classen, Jimmy Jo Rea, and Sonya Lamma.
After the usual business, Sonya Lamma discussed handicap parking on Oak Street.
Chris Classen discussed that cross connection has been removed and plugged at the residence on West Fifth Street.
Jimmy Jo Rea appeared representing the Emergency Services and Disaster Agency. He informed the council of the guidelines for implementation for the State of Illinois Homeland Security Advisory System. These guidelines need to be approved by the council by November 3, 2004.
Discussed advertising for mowing bids. Bids will be opened at the regular meeting of March 26, 2003. Proof of insurance must accompany the bid.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:35 p.m. until the next reuglar meeting Wednesday, March 26.
