Ron Peterson is not just a business man who sits behind his desk. He's a citizen who is concerned about our small town, about how it looks, and about the people who live here.

Ron is proud of his family and grandchildren. He and his wife, Gayle of thirty-seven years, have three daughters and five grandchildren. They have a son-in-law in the military who recently has been shipped out of the U.S. to Kuwait.

Ron is a graduate of Wainola High School, Viola, and a 1968 graduate of Western Illinois University. He and Gayle moved to LaHarpe where he accepted a position at First State Bank as Farm Loan Officer. Shortly after 1980, Mr. Peterson became President of the bank, which he still holds today.

His hobbies are trap shooting, hunting, fishing, and reading. Ron and Gayle enjoy going out to eat and spend time with their family.
