Robbin Danielson requested to close Oak Street in Dallas City on July 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. from the highway intersection to the alley and the Dallas City Council members voted unanimously to pass the measure.
The Dallas City Council held its regular meeting June 11, 2003, at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Lila Gittings called the meeting to order with the following Commissioners present: Phillip Bowman, Harold Northup, Jr., and Esther Newberry.
Others attending the meeting were Robbin Danielson, Chris Classen, and Connie Siemens.
Chris Classen discussed City employees checking for improper sump pump connections and basement drains connected to the City sewer.
A motion by Newberry, seconded by Bowman was unanimously approved to accept Motor Fuel Tax Letting bid that was held on June 3, 2003, at 11:30 a.m. The low bid was W.L. Miller Co. for $10,345.50.
In other business:
A motion was made by Newberry, seconded by Bowman to pass Ordinance #548 Prevailing Wage Rate for the City of Dallas City. Bowman, Northup, Newberry, and Gittings-Aye.
May 28th minutes were accepted and bills were approved to be paid.
