Occasionally, an old picture of a bygone era surfaces and curiously, as in this case, we see things common today.
Look carefully at the stack of cans in the aisle of H. D. Lovitt's store and you will see that he was selling Karo syrup.
There is no date on the picture, but it is of his store with Mr. Lovitt being on the left and his clerk, Elzie Gilliland on the right.
Note that a lantern is providing the light, bushels of sweet potatoes, onions and other produce are in the foreground.
The Henderson County Public Library in Biggsville is collecting old photos for their Local and History Room.
