Western Area Assistant Deputy Grand Master, Paul Gossett presented Clifford Rich a certificate stating: "The most Worshipful Grand Lodge of A.F. & A.M. of State of Illinois present this certificate to our esteemed Clifford Rich, a member of La Harpe Lodge #195 in recognition of his faithful service and membership as a Master Mason for 50 years."
Fifty years ago, when Clifford Rich joined the lodge, the late Merlin Yeager was Clifford's mentor. Mr. Yeager and Clifford would sit in his truck at the park for hours while Clifford learned the degrees. Clifford is a 32nd degree through the Quincy Consistory AASR. Mr. Rich also remembers Cliff Latherow, Quinn Estes, John Louden, Sr. and his father Roy Rich, all deceased who helped him!
Clifford is a lifetime member and dues are paid for the rest of his life.
To witness this special occasion with Clifford was his wife Virginia, two of their daughters, Debbie and Deanna, and four of their grandchildren.
