On Friday, June 27, sixteen residents of the Oak Lane Nursing Home enjoyed a picnic in the Stronghurst Park. A "finger-lickin"â fried chicken lunch with all the trimmings was served by staff members to the residents and several guests.
Everyone enjoyed the improvements that have been made to the park, especially the sidewalks which make "walking and rolling" so much easier for the seniors.
The weather and the flowers were beautiful and no bugs came to share the food, so it was a perfect day for a picnic.
