Louise White was born in Lancaster, Missouri. Her parents were Harley and Fern Jones. She came from a family of twelve children. The family moved to Illinois in 1929. Her elementary years were spent in country schools, coming into La Harpe for high school. In 1936, she married Leland (Mike) White. They lived all their married life in La Harpe until his death in 1976. They are the parents of two daughters, Donna Reeder and Judy Hobby; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Louise worked at the La Harpe Telephone Office for 15 years and also worked for Gene and Bev's for 15 years. She now works in La Harpe for the Home Health Department. She enjoys reading and working word puzzles. |
