The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.
In 1848 James Huss donated two acres of land to the public for a cemetery on Sec.31 of Biggsville Township.
Through the years it had been allowed to be overgrown with stones sinking into the ground. Mr. David Hill of Biggsville was instrumental in returning it to its proper condition.
With help he cleared the debris, righted the stones, and marked its spot with a sign on Dutch Row. Within it grounds lie the Civil War soldier, Elisha Huss who served in Co. "A" of the 47th Illinois Infantry.
