Southern Rebels Win Roseville Tournament

Opening Game

Southern took the opening round of the Roseville Tournament, December 16th by defeating Avon 62-41.

Second game

Wedneday, December 17th the Rebels returned to tournament play to face Warren.

Warren had handed Southern their only loss this year in a game that had ended after 3 overtimes.

Wednesday was equally as exciting a the teams battled it out to the finish. With the score tied at 51 in the last seconds of regulation play it looked like another overtime was in store. But, Matt Kane hit a last second three pointer sending the Rebels to the finals after a 54 to 51 victory.

Friday, December 19, the Rebels met Roseville in the final game of the tournament claiming the trophy after a 68-52 win after a fast pace game.

Matthew McIntire scored 31 points with teammates Nathan Corzatt connecting for 15 and Matt Kane 14.
