The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.

Moment in History

Cemeteries were established once communities evolved.

Early on in Henderson County pioneers buried their dead for convenience on their own claim with the intention of later transferring their remains to an organized burial ground.

In 1882 at the southwest end of the point in the bend of the creek southeast of the village of Biggsville two graves with small rough stones marked such a spot.

No names were inscribed and therefore, their identities are lost in time.
