An Open House was held at Schar's Vet Clinic on Sunday, November 30, 2003.
It was a beautiful sunny day for late November, and over 140 people ventured into the country northwest of Stronghurst to tour the new veterinary clinic that was just finished, and to visit with Dr. Jon Schar, his wife Lorrie, and their two children.
Dr. Schar was surprised by two of his Veterinary School classmates, Dr. and Mrs. Jim Strake, and Dr. Dwight Boehm and his wife Dr. Liz Volmer, and their families coming to the Open House and visiting throughout the afternoon.
Many door prizes were graciously donated for the Open House from the following companies: Bergman Farm Supply, Merial Small & Large Animal, Intervet, Phizer Large Animal Pharmaceuticals, Hills Pet Food and Schering Plough.
The Schars said how much they appreciated all who attended the Open House.
Dr. Schar was actively practicing in Roseville before coming back to his home place northwest of Stronghurst to start his own practice.
