Kenneth Pearce, 92 years of age, was born near Burnside to Elza and Ethel (Long) Pearce.
He attended school at the country school of Oak Grove. He spent all of his life farming before retiring and moving into La Harpe.
He and his first wife (Frances Merrill) were married 47 years before she passed away. They had one son, Kenneth, Jr. who died in 1983 at the age of 48. They also have one grandson and two great-grandchildren living in the Decatur area.
Kenneth and his present wife, Angeline (Buthovic) have been married 16 years. She has a daughter living in Georgia.
Kenneth enjoys reading and watching television.
