The Southern Belles played a tough game against the Warriors of Peoria Woodruff in the Monmouth Tip-Off Classic Monday evening. Despite a great performance by the Belles, the final score was Woodruff 51 and Southern 43.
Darci Renken once again had an outstanding performance with 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals. Annie Pogue contributed 11 points and Mindy Morrison had 9 points and 3 assists. Kim Waddell contributed 5 points and 3 assists. It was good to have Brandy Blender see some playing time after being out for the first few games with an ankle injury. Woodruff was led in scoring by Alexis Crowder with 24 points.
