At the La Harpe City Council Meeting, the second reading of the proposed water ordinance amendment was read.
The third reading will be at the next meeting on September 8, and the council will then act upon the proposed amendment.
A request for new street lights on North 2nd Street was made by a concerned party. There is currently no street lighting at the area. Illinois Power will be notified of the request for their recommendations.
Discussion was made of a new prospective business coming to town. Interest in opening a new restaurant is progressing.
