Kelli Burr Attends FFA Leadership Camp

Kelli Burr, from the La Harpe FFA Chapter, attended FFA Leadership Camp at Allerton Park 4-H Memorial Camp in Monticello.

The camp was held from July 30th to August 2nd.

There were 278 campers and 25 staff members from around the state in attendance.

During the four days, campers participated in a challenge course, Ag Olympics, a Hawaiian Harvest Festival, and various other team competitions.

Many special guests were present, including Robin Niehaus, past National FFA Secretary from Hillsboro, Dr. Morton Ford, a hypnotist, and representatives from the FFA Alumni and the Illinois FFA Foundation.

The Alumni sponsored a pork chop dinner, and the Foundation helps provide funds to make camp possible. During the camp, FFA members learned teamwork, communication, and leadership skills that they could use to improve their chapters.

The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of members by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agriculture education.
