Tingley, Ziegler Winners Of Washington Youth Tour

Amanda Tingley, Northwestern High School, and Anna Ziegler, La Harpe High School, were selected to represent McDonough Telephone Cooperative at the 2003 Youth Tour to Washington, D.C. scheduled for June 13-20. Jacob Mitchell, Colchester High School, was designated as alternate.

Tingley, Ziegler and Mitchell were chosen by a panel of judges from a field of 17 area students who represented McDonough Telephone at the Illinois Electric and Telephone Cooperatives' Youth Day on April 2 in Springfield. Les Fowler, data processing supervisor for McDonough Telephone, served as chaperone for the Springfield trip.

McDonough Telephone Cooperative sponsors two outstanding high school students each year for the trip to Washington D.C. where the McDonough Telephone representatives will join other young delegates from cooperatives across the United States in a week of specially planned activities.

McDonough Telephone Cooperative serves over 4,500 members in Fulton, Hancock, Henderson, McDonough, Warren and Schuyler counties.
