Dan Gillett was born and raised in LaHarpe, and has lived on main street for 45 years.
Dan is a 1967 graduate of LaHarpe High School and attended Robert Morris College.
He served in the Army for two years and was a National Guard recruiter. Dan and Martha will celebrate their 25th anniversary later this year. They are parents of Andrea, who graduated from W.I.U. in December and was married in January; and Deanna, who is a student at W.I.U.
Dan's hobby is antique cars. He and Martha enjoy going out to eat. Dan is Commander of the American Legion and President of the Historical Society.
Dan believes in LaHarpe, thinks it is necessary to have new businesses come to town and credits the organizations that work together for the future of our town.
