She is married to Tom, who is also retired. They have two sons, Rick and Terry who live in Burlington, IA and two grandchildren, Pauline and George Thomas.
They attend the Biggsville United Methodist Church.
Char loves to paint, enjoys gardening, and quilting.
She is a member of both the Biggsville Garden Club and one in Burlington, Iowa too.
