The Lady Thunder played North Fulton at home to determine the Bi-County conference championship. North Fulton needed both wins to claim the title. The girls were out to defeat their mission.
Game One-
The Thunder were defeated 1-0 after 5 innings. Rebekah Bruns recorded 6 strikeouts and no walks and 1 run. Rebekah Bruns was 2-2 offensively, with Sasha Pratt and Brianne Bennett 1-2 for the day.
Game Two-
The Thunder came up short in game 2 against North Fulton. Brianne Bennett was 1-3 (single) and credited with the only run of the game.
Erin Pollock was 2 for 2 with 2 singles. Marcy Wood was 1-2(single).
Rebekah pitched the second game and struggled coming up with 1 strikeout and 6 walks. North Fultonâs record was 21-3 before coming to La Harpe.Southern Doubleheader
Game 1
The Thunder ladies played at home against Southern . Brianne Bennett played probably two of her best games in her high school career.
Offensively, she had a perfect day going 6-6 in 10 innings. Defensively she was errorless and was credited with 6 assists. Amber Pence was 2-3(singles) and 1 run. Sasha Pratt was DH for Rachel Goettsche and was 2-3 with 2 RBIâs (1single and 1 double) Erin Pollock was 2-3(1single 1 double) and 1 run. Marcy Wood was 1-3 with a double and an RBI . Jessie Rodeffer and Jenna Tomey were also 1-3 both getting singles.
Rebekah Bruns pitched and had 5 strikeouts. Final score was 4 to7.
Game 2
Brianne Bennett went 3-3 in game 2. Sasha Pratt was 1-3 with a double.
Amber Pence was 1-3 with a double . Erin Pollock was 1-3 and credited with a run. Marcy Wood was 1-2 with a double and an RBI. Megan Harper was 2-3 and credited with an RBI.
Darci Lenix pitched over half of the game and had 1 strikeout and 4 walks. Erin Pollock came in and finished the game giving up 2 runs, 1 strikeout and no walks.
The final score of game 2 was 5 to 11.
Game1
Game one ended after five innings with the scoreLH/NW 1-AV/BU 4 Rebekah Bruns walked and scored in the first after Megan Harper sacrificed a bunt. Megan went 3-3 for the day. She deserved to have a great day after sitting out quite a few games because of an ankle injury. Brianne Bennett was 1-3 as were Rebekah Bruns and Marcy Wood.
Rebekah Bruns pitched and had 3 strikeouts and 1 walk.
Game2
Thunder 0 - Avon/Bushnell 3
Rebekah had5 strikeouts, 1 walk, and 2 hits.
Avon/Bushnell held the Thunder scoreless for 4 innings. Sasha Pratt reached base on a hit pitch.
Jessie Rodeffer, Jenna Tomey, and Erin Pollock were all credited with singles but were never able to move around to score.Thunder vs Macomb
The final game of the regular season was also the last home game for four of our senior players.

The Senior players were surprised by their parents and teammates with flowers, balloons, and gifts to recognize their achievements during their four years in softball.
Macomb struggled with their pitching zone as did Rebekah. She was able to find that special range and had 9 strikeouts and 2 walks. Macomb managed 5 strikeouts and 5 walks .
Hitters for the Thunder were: Brianne Bennett was 1-4(single) Rebekah Bruns 1-3(single)
Megan Harper 2 walks and 1 run. Amber Pence 1-3(triple). Jessie Rodeffer and Erin Pollock were also 1-3 with singles.
Our record for the season before regionals were 8-14. Our record does not complement the real achievements that the ladies have made this year. They have learned that it takes teamwork, dedication, communication, and hard work. The ladies should be proud of the things that they have accomplished this year. It will show later on. Changes in a program donât happen over night.

The Thunder Ladies were long overdue for this win. Rebekah Bruns had 10 strikeouts, and 2 walks. Jessie Rodeffer was the catcher. Brianne Bennett went 1-4 with 2 runs. Bekah Bruns was 3-4 with 1 run and 2 RBIâs. Megan Harper was 2-4 with 1 run and 1 RBI. Amber Pence was 4-4 with 1 triple and 2 doubles and 1 single and 1 run and 1RBI. Lacy Anders was 1-4 with 1 run and 1 RBI. Erin Pollock was 2-4 1 single 1 double 1 run and 1 RBI. Jessie Rodeffer was 1-4 with a single. Marcy Wood was 1-4 with a single and 1 run. April Horton was 1-3 with a single 1 run and 1RBI.
Game 2 against Nauvoo
LH/NW 2-Nauvoo 5
A few hits, a few errors, and a few walks make all the difference in a regional game. Sarah Marting held us to 5 hits and had 11 strikeouts.
Rebekah had 8 strikeouts and 4 hits and 2 walks.
That was the difference in the outcome of our game. Brianne and Rebekah both scored in the sixth .Erin Pollock was credited with an RBI and Amber Pence the other RBI. Sasha Pratt was 2- 3 for the day. April Horton was 1-3 for the day.
Rachel Goettsche played first and finished as catcher after Jessie Rodeffer injured her thumb.
Rachel came in and did a great job.
