The Southern Jr. High Boys Track & Field posted another win on Tuesday, May 8th at Bushnell, in the Bushnell PC Invite.
Although the Raiders normally would have no meet this close to the State track meet, they were invited to meet this year and used it as an opportunity to run on the new all weather track. The final team scores were Southern 117, Bushnell Prairie City 110, Avon 66, Cuba 58, and Roseville 55.
The Raiders started out the day with wins in two of the field events as Jerry Morris and Adam Corzatt combined for first in the shot put relay. Then Morris teamed with Abe Chockley for first place in the discus event.
In the running events the Raiders took 1st place in five out of ten races, and also set a new school record in one event! Darick Clark, Abe Chockley, Ryan Utter and Adam Corzatt set a new school record in the 4x400 m relay in a time of 4:07.09!
