The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.
The Dallas City Council held its regular meeting on May 8, 2002, at 7:00 p.m. with Mayor Lila Gittings calling the meeting to order.
The following commissioners were present: Nick Huston and Esther Newberry. Northup and Pieper were absent.
Others attending the meeting were Chris Classen.
A motion was made by Esther Newberry, seconded by Nick Huston to accept the minutes of April 25, 2002. Huston, Newberry and Gittings - Aye. Northup and Pieper - Absent.
Harold Northup arrived at 7:08 p.m. John Pieper arrived at 7:10 p.m.
Replacing the water line on Leinbaugh Street was discussed. Brad Lanier from Klingner Engineering called and advised that bid packages will be sent out and bids will be opened on June 12, 2002.
A letter sent out by the Department of Justice was discussed and the City Attorney has contacted them. This will be tabled until a later date.
Commissioner Northup discussed the Dallas City web site which he reported would be available within the next 30 days.
A motion was made by Pieper, seconded by Newberry to pay bills. Huston, Northup, Newberry, Pieper and Gittings - Aye.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
