On Tuesday April 20, La Harpe arrived in Stronghurst to play a key conference double header with Southern High School. Unfortunately for the home team, La Harpe left with a sweep.
In the first game La Harpe's Jason Meyers kept the Southern offense off the board while they pushed three runs across for the 3-0 win. Southern's offense just could not get anything going at the plate.
Christopher Wisslead started on the mound for the Rebels and pitched well in going the distance.

In the second game vw. LaHarpe, Southern jumped out on top 3-0. Matt McIntire walked and scored in the first inning. In the second McIntire doubled and Joshua Ragar blasted his fourth homerun of the season over the center field fence driving in McIntire for the 3-0 lead.
However, with Joshua Ragar on the mound for the Rebels, LaHarpe stormed back scoring five runs in the top of the third inning capped off by a three run homerun by the catcher Lane Metcalf.
After throw batting practice in the third inning, Ragar settled down and held LaHarpe off the board. Unfortunately for Southern, La Harpe's Jason Seigworth also held Southern in check for a final score of 5-3.

On Thursday May 2, due to the early morning rain, Bushnell P.C.A. arrived in Stronghurst for a double header with Southern. Again Southern's new surface on the ball diamond helped avoid a rainout.
In the first game Quinn Leath started on the mound for the Rebels and came away with a 10-5 win. Southern was designated the visiting team so had the opportunity to jump out into the lead when Matt McIntire and Joshua Ragar crossed the plate early for a 2-0 lead. Bushnell scored twice in the bottom of the first to knot the score at two.
In the top of the second, Southern tacked on six more runs as they batted through the lineup for an 8-2 lead. McIntire, Ragar, Keever, Leath, Burrell, and Pogue all scored. Bushnell added two to their score in the bottom of the second to make the score 8-4.
Southern added a pair in the fourth when Christopher Wisslead crushed his fifth homerun of the season driving in McIntire for a score of 10-4. Bushnell added one to their score in the bottom of the fifth for the final score of 10-5, Southern.

In the nightcap, Nick Morris started pitching on the mound for the Rebels and posted an 18-6 win.
Again Southern was tabbed as the visitors, so they were able to jump out in front first scoring two in the top of the first when Joshua Ragar and Christopher Wisslead scored.
Bushnell came back with two of their own in the bottom of the first to tie the game at two.
The top of the second inning brought 12 batters to the plate scoring seven runs.
McIntire, Ragar, Wiss-lead, Morris, Rothzen, Corzatt, and Burrell all crossed the plate for the Rebels.
In the top of the third Joshua Ragar slammed his fifth homerun of the season on a 3-2 pitch over the left centerfield fence for the only score of the inning making it 10-2.
In the fourth inning the Rebels added six more runs with McIntire, Morris, Wilson, Corzatt, Burrell, and Pogue all crossing home plate. Bushnell then batted in the bottom of the fourth scoring three runs to make the score 16-5.
In the fifth and final inning, Southern tacked on two runs with Ford and Pogue stepping on home plate. Bushnell then added one to their score for a final score of 18-6 in Southerns favor.
One thing good about this game was that Southerns entire bench played and batted.
