Dear Editor-
The Almost Home Animal Shelter in Oquawka certainly feels Girl Scout Troop #369 is doing a wonderful worthwhile project of helping & working with the animal shelter.
It requires kids at a young age to learn the values of the community, volunteering , and caring for & treatment of animals, which our society today seem to be lacking.
Our communities in Henderson County need more young people such as this as well as adults. Our appreciation goes out to troop #369 as well as their leader Melissa Edwards.
We appreciate to donation of the many bags of dog and cat food.
We also want to recognize Justin Bouchez of Oquawka and Chris Wilson of Stronghurst for their help at the shelter.
