After graduating high school Eric attended Western Illinois University and graduated in l995 with a Bachelor of Science, his major in Recreation Parks and Tourism Administration and a minor in Biology.
In May of l996, Eric purchased the family business "Little Bros. Plumbing, Heating & Electric", located in La Harpe and Carthage.
In June of l996 he married Jennie Balmer, daughter of Diane and Rick Balmer of La Harpe. Eric and Jennie reside on a farm south of La Harpe.
His favorite hobby is driving the Jeep on trails and traveling on trails around the country, then lots of "fixing up" to do on the Jeep after all that trail riding, as Eric stated.
Eric and Jennie are members of the La Harpe Christian Church.
