Southern Falls To Farmington In Sectional

On Tuesday night, the Rebs ran into one of the top teams in the state, the Farmington Farmers.

With a front line of 6' 7", 6' 6", and 6' 5", Farmington had a definite size advantage over Southern.

The first quarter started out quickly with Farmington holding an 11-10 advantage with two minutes left, but the Farmers scored the last six points to take a 17-10 lead after on period.

Farmington again outscored the Rebels 12-8 in the second quarter, for a 29-18 lead.

The third quarter was the deciding factor as Southern could only manage 3 points. The final score was Farmington 55- Southern 34.

The Southern Rebels and the coaching staff had a fine season of 23-6, Bi-County Conference Champions, Bi-County Tournament Champions, Macomb Holiday Tournament Consolation Champions, and Regional Champions.

Seniors Josh Ragar, Cullen Goodman, Billy Ford, Ryan Keever, and Tom Torrance had a great varsity record the last two years of 46-13.

The Rebels and coaches appreciate everyone that came to the games for their support.
