The Hancock-Henderson Quill, Inc.

Moment in History

Bald Bluff Precinct was a part of Oquawka until it was separated in September 1858. Later in 1874 T.12N R.4W was detached from Greenville Precinct (Rozetta Township) and added to Bald Bluff.

The exact description of this process can be found in the 1882 History of Henderson County, p. 292.

Then only two churches were operating in the precinct: Belmont Episcopal Church and the Wesleyan Methodist.

Today, both have disappeared into history.
