Henderson County Post 765 Senior Legion Baseball

The summer baseball season has started and HCP 765 Senior Legion team is off to a great start.

This years team consists of many of the areas better ball players and are sure to be fun to watch.

Team members are; Quinn Leath, Silas Pogue, Joshua Ragar, Nick Morris, Christopher Wisslead, Ryan Keever from Stronghurst/Raritan. Josh Grant, Brent Hartley, Cody Ferrill, Jeremy Shipman from Dallas City/Nauvoo. Jason Seigworth and Jensen Jones from LaHarpe. Jake Halcomb and Justin Martin from Monmouth Warren.

The team is 4-l to date with a 6-4 win over the Galesburg 16-17 year old team to start out the season on a lightning shortened game.

Jensen Jones and Christopher Wisslead each homered to lead the team. Jason Seigworth and Cody Ferrill both pitched.

HCP 765 traveled to Milan and came away with a 7-3 win. Christopher Wisslead, Jason Seigworth, and Quinn Leath all did a great job on the mound.

HCP 765 again hit the road to Galesburg for a double-header rematch.

The team came away with an 8-2 and 3-1 sweep. In game one, Jeremy Shipman started on the mound with Quinn Leath coming in to close out the game.

Game 2 started with Jensen Jones on the mound and Cody Ferrill finishing up.

In the final game of the week we traveled to Oneida and suffered our first loss of the season, 11-1.

Several errors and a lack of hitting contributed to the loss.

Josh Grant started out on the mound with Cody Ferrill coming in to finish up the game.

HCP 765 has many talented area pitchers and players and with solid defense and timely hitting should have a very fun and successful season.
