The Colchester/LaHarpe/Northwest/Roseville Committee of Ten met Thursday evening, May 23, at LaHarpe High School. All ten members were present along with advisory members and several community members.
The petition has been received from the attorney and will be taken to the Regional Superintendent as soon as all the required signatures have been obtained.
A grant application has been completed that will place the proposed district on a waiting list for building construction monies. This grant money is not limited to being awarded before construction, but could be awarded after construction has taken place.
The Kids First account totals $360.00 to date. Anyone wishing to make a donation should send a check made payable to "Kids First" and mail to: Kids First, c/o Bob Dwyer, 760 26th Street, Roseville, IL 61473
A drawing for two sides of beef is being conducted as a fund-raiser. The beef has been donated by Welsh Cattle Company and Dwyer Cattle. Tickets will be available soon from any committee member. The drawing will be held at a date to be announced later.
