Dear Editor,
This is in response to a letter written by Vera Bozarth, referring to the gossip about Russell Schenck who is serving time in jail.
When a family member is serving time behind bars, it is often the family and loved ones that suffer. Many times the public doesn't realize the stress these families are coping with and how idle rumors can hurt.
We are forming a Christian Outreach Group based out of the Abundant Life Church, to be there for these families. Enclosed you will find an outline of our Ministry Mission Statement. (Editor's Note: See separate article)
You can help these families by quelling the gossip and rumors and by reaching out to those who need your understanding, compassion, and kindness during this difficult time in their lives.
