The Dallas City Council held its regular meeting on January 23, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Lila Gittings called the meeting to order with the following Commissioners present: Nick Huston, Harold Northup, Jr., Esther Newberry, and John Pieper.
Another attending the meeting was Chris Classen.
A motion was made by Northup, seconded by Pieper to accept the minutes of January 9, 2002. Huston, Northup, Newberry, Pieper, and Gittings - Aye.
Harold Northup discussed web page which could be done by Carthage High School for $50.00. The City would have to pay $50.00 to Winco and an additional $45.00. Decided to check with Carthage High School and see about getting web page set up.
Chris Classen reported a valve replaced on 4th and Sycamore.
Mayor Gittings reported on meeting with recycling people. Tom Edmonds will empty container for $100.00 per time, she said. He will not sign a contract, will load by load. Will contact Dallas Township about sharing cost.
A motion was made by Pieper, seconded by Huston to adjourn the meeting - Huston, Northup, Newberry, Pieper, and Gittings - Aye.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
