A graduate of Southern High School in 1978, he is a farmer, a Sygenta Seed salesman, and part owner of the school bus transportation service for which he drives a bus.
He is married to Melissa who works at the Raritan State Bank, and they are the parents of two daughters and one son: Johanna, Jennifer and John. This rural Media family go to the Media Presbyterian Church.
John enjoys showing hogs and sheep and attending the sporting events of his children.
