On January 11th, the Rebels traveled to Abingdon to take on the Commandos. Abingdon has a fine team, and showed why by jumping out to a 16-11 first quarter lead, and 30-25 at half time. The Rebels came out and out scored the Commandos in the third quarter 17-11 to take a 42-41 advantage after 3 periods. The fourth period found Abingdon back in control. The Rebels had to foul late in the game, and the Commandos made their foul shots. The final score was Abingdon 59-Southern 51.

On Tuesday, January 15th, the Rebels were at Roseville in a rematch of an earlier game the Rebels lost. This time Southern came out strong, and took leads of 14-7 at the first quarter, and 29-19 at halftime.The Rebels kept up the pace in the second half, and won 62-40.
