After having been off for the holidays, the Raiders returned to the court against Yorkwood to open the new year. the Raiders looked sharp as they jumped out to an 18 to 2 lead after one quarter. Jerry Morris led the way with 10 first quarter points. Jacob Gillen had 6 points in the second and Darick Clark netted 7 points to extend the Raider lead at half 32 to 8. The third quarter saw Gillen hit for 5 more points and the Raiders extended the lead 44 to 13. Gillen remained hot, hitting for 5 more fourth quarter points as the Raiders won by a score of 57 to 21.
Jacob Gillen and Darick Clark led the Raiders in scoring. Jacob had 16 points and 2 steals. Jacob really stepped up and shot the ball extremely well.
Darick also scored 16 points and had 4 rebound and 4 steals. Darick continues to play hard every game. His steals led to several easy baskets.
Jerry Morris scored 14 points, had 8 rebounds, and one steal. Jerry continues to rebound hard and control the lane area.
Nick Burg had 5 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, and one assist. Nick really did a fine job all night and contributed at both ends of the floor.
Abe Chockley had 4 points, 6 steals, and 3 assists. Abe played his usual game with all out hustle. He did a tremendous job on defense, as shows with his six steals.
Ryan Utter finished the scoring with 2 points. Ryan shot 100% from the field as this was his only shot taken.
