Gladstone Village Gives $500 To Girl Scouts

Trustees of the Gladstone Village Board voted to give $500 to the Shining Trail Council of Girl Scouts last month at their Dec. 10th, 2001 meeting.

In a short hour meeting, Mayor Donnie Olson asked for a roll call vote after Junior Bielser made a motion to donate $500 to the Shining Trail Council of Girl Scouts and Flo Stewart seconded the motion.

Trustees Jim Hetrick, Junior Bielser, Rex McKinney, Flo Stewart, and John Russell all voted "aye". Chad Furnald was absent.

The board trustees also all agreed to have Santa come on Dec. 22nd to the park to hand out candy, and they instructed Clerk Joyce Hetrick to buy the same kind and same amount of candy as they had in previous years.

A Motion was made by Junior Bielser and 2nd by Jim Hetrick to pass:

For Fiscal Year Commencing May 1, 2001 to April 30, 2002

This is a routine ordinance which is passed yearly to obtain the tax money needed to run the village.

All ayes were given on the roll-call vote.

Mayor Olson requested that Clerk call the village attorney to request his work on some type of universal water ordinance for the Gladstone Village that would show more rules and regulations on their water system.

The trustees also unanimously approved the bills be paid, the November minutes, and accepted the treasurer's report.

The meeting adjourned at 8 p.m. The next meeting will be Monday, January 14th at 7 p.m. at the Community Building.
