The Raiders traveled to Warsaw to face the always tough Wildcats. The 8th grade boys played a very good game.
In first quarter action, the Raiders got out to a 10 to 5 lead after one period. The second quarter was evenly played also, as the Raiders went to halftime on top 19 to 12.
The third quarter was a stand off, with each team scoring six points. With a seven point lead to start the 4th quarter, the Raiders went to work by outscoring Warsaw 19 to 9.
The Raiders pulled away to a 44 to 27 victory.
Darick Clark led the way scoring 17 points, and had 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and 5 assists. Darick had his best game of the season so far. He really stepped up and took charge.
Adam Corzatt scored 10 points and 3 rebounds, Adam continued to shoot the ball well. He also did a nice job defensively.
Abe Chockley had a steal and six points. Abe hustled and created problems for the Wildcat offense.
Jerry Morris was limited in minutes played due to fouls. He finished with 4 points, 10 rebounds, and a steal.
Nick Burg scored 4 points, and had 2 rebounds. Nick did a great job. With Jerry in foul trouble, Nick really stepped up with a great game. He rebounded, blocked shots, played defense, and scored points. Great game Nick.
Kyle Keever netted 3 points, 5 rebounds, a steal and an assist. Kyle did a great job on defense, containing his man, and hit the boards hard as always.
Jacob Gillen saw action also. Jacob grabbed a rebound and dished out 3 assists. He too, did a nice job defensively, and ran the offense well.
The Raiders go to the holiday break with a 13 and 0 record. They will return to action January 3 at home vs. the Yorkwood Golden Bears.
