She lives on the family farm near La Harpe with her parents Ted and Angela Rodeffer, and her older sister and younger brother.
La Shay attends La Harpe elementary school and her hobbies are playing piano, singing, and writing songs and poems in her journal. She also enjoys playing with the family's cats and dogs.
In 2000, La Shay sang "Silent Night" on her uncle's newest CD. Jeff Sheetz, her uncle, who is married to Jackie Rodeffer, who was originally from La Harpe, is a guitarist and music producer, and the song that La Shay sang was recorded onto his CD, "Christmas.......At Last".
Aunt Jackie and Uncle Jeff Sheetz, and La Shay's family are great supporters of her musical talents and hobbies.
